Preparing for your Photo Session
Here are a few tips to get you on the right track prior to your professional headshot session.
Think about your attire if you normally dress casually just step it up a notch for your photo. If your going with business suit then buy a new accent piece nothing makes a person feel good then showing off something new.
With all clothing choices make sure it is clean, stain free and void of those pet hairs.
Your attire should reflect who you are, ask your coworkers or style coach for insights into what works best for you.
Bring a back up outfit and a few accessories just in case. This will help ease your nerves and make sure you have what you need for your photo shoot.
Try not to stress about the upcoming portrait session. We will help guide you thru some poses and create images that communicate what you need.
Patterns are great but could be distracting, try to use them as a accent to your attire.
Be well rested for your headshot session, stay hydrated the day prior and the day of. Stay away from the alcohol and sugars the day before too. These habits make us all a bit puffy. If you can, try to schedule the session in the AM.
Re-framing, try to visualize how you will feel once the images have been created and being used. Many of our clients tell us later how many compliments they receive after posting their new social media images.
Remember the photography session is about having a good time too. The sessions are quick and we will be their to guide you through each step of the process. If your getting social media images created, #headshots, or a corporate portrait we want you to be relaxed.
